Keel

Terms

Terms of service.

Last updated May 14, 2026

The formal Keel terms of service are in preparation. Until they are published, this page summarizes the customer agreement process and the commitments the product makes today. Customers signing for production use receive the current customer agreement, data processing agreement, and security overview before signature.

Customer agreement

Production use of Keel runs under a written customer agreement signed before go-live. The agreement covers service description, data handling, pricing, renewal, termination, and standard commercial terms for B2B SaaS. Demo and trial access is governed by a short-form acceptable-use understanding shared at signup.

What Keel does and does not do

Keel is a close and consolidation system that sits above QuickBooks Online. It does not replace your accounting source ledger. AI workflows in Keel assist controllers with evidence-backed drafts and suggestions; humans approve every workflow-impacting change. Keel does not make autonomous accounting decisions and does not provide tax, audit, or legal advice.

Service availability

Keel runs on a managed cloud infrastructure with deployments coordinated to preserve close-cycle availability. We do not currently publish a uniform service level commitment; specific availability and support response targets are described in the customer agreement.

Acceptable use

Customers agree not to attempt to access another tenant's data, reverse-engineer the audit log integrity logic, or submit unlawful or fraudulent ledger data through Keel.
